The Grand Canyon cannot simply be observed, it should be experienced with many different options available. Mules, helicopters, hiking, camping, etc… everyone should take the opportunity to really experience the awe-inspiring Canyon!

I say if you are going hiking anywhere you need all the correct gear – especially shoes and water but also a first aid kit and a cell phone to call for help when things get really tough. I keep a MotorolaW376 Tracfone for emergency’s, you can buy one for less than $30 including DMFL and lots of features so there is really no reason why people would go hiking without a cell.
