<p><strong>NORMAN, Okla. &#8212; </strong> The University of Oklahoma volleyball team will host its annual Crimson and Cream scrimmage on Saturday, Aug. 23 at 10 a.m. inside the Howard McCasland Field House. The two-hour intrasquad scrimmage is free admission and open to the public.</p>
<p>Prior to the intrasquad scrimmage, the team will host the Crimson and Cream Kids Clinic beginning at 8:30 a.m. Following the match, the Sooners will host a picnic for the fans and offer tours of the Howard McCasland Field House and locker rooms and have inflatable games. Pizza and drinks will be available as long as supplies last. Players will also be available for autographs.</p>

<p>In addition, season ticket holders in attendance will have an opportunity to pick up their season ticket owner gift. The event will provide Sooner fans the first opportunity to watch the 2008 squad under the direction of fifth-year head coach Santiago Restrepo.</p>
<p>Oklahoma will open the season with the Sooner Legends Nike Invitational at the Field House Aug. 29-30. The Sooners will begin the four-team tournament on Friday, Aug. 29 against Michigan State at 10 a.m. CT.</p>
<p>Admission to all games of the tournament is free. The first 250 fans to attend Friday’s 10 a.m. match will receive an OU rally towel, while the first 250 fans at Saturday’s 1 p.m. OU-Cal Poly game will receive a schedule magnet.</p>
<p><strong>Season Ticket Information</strong></p>
<p>Be part of the action. Become a season ticket holder and enjoy Oklahoma volleyball at affordable prices. As a season ticket holder, you will also have access to intimate seating inside the McCasland Field House which provides an up-close look at some of the best volleyball in the country.</p>
<p>Public season tickets are $40 and faculty/staff and letterwinner season tickets are only $32. To order your season tickets please call the OU Athletics Ticket Office at (800) 456-4668 or visit SoonerSports.com. As a special bonus, fans will be admitted free to any volleyball game taking place on the same day as an OU football home game. Single game tickets are $7 for the general public, $5 for youth and letterwinners.</p>

Barker, an Amarillo, Texas native, was one of five prep players from the state of Texas named to the squad.</p>

<p>It marks Barker’s second national accolade as she was presented the Andi Collins Award, given to the nation’s best prep setter, in January. Barker is no stranger to success as the Amarillo, Texas, native is also the Texas Gatorade Player of the Year and LoneStarVolleyball.com Player of the Year.</p>
<p>The 5-9 setter led Amarillo High School to back-to-back state championships during her junior and senior seasons while earning MVP honors of the state tournament twice.</p>
<p>Barker finished her senior season with 1,091 assists, 244 kills, 299 digs and also led the team with 75 aces.</p>
<p>Barker also plays club volleyball for the Amarillo Elite and will report to Oklahoma in fall of 2008.</p>
