Rod Shoate must be inducted NOW. He was the ORIGINAL speed linebacker and was ahead of his time. You could make the case for him still being the prototype speed “sideline-to-sideline” linebacker to this day.

Ya I figured shoate was already in . Brian Bosworth was the first and only two time butkus award winner. This is as phony of a hall of fame as there ever been.

How can Shoate not be in the Hall of Fame by now? What a joke the guy was as dominate a linebacker in his era of College Football as anyone. What did he lose one game in 3 years as a starter? What is the process for promoting these OU guys to get in the Hall, I believe the late great Daryl Hunt is not in either, there is definitely some bias against some of the Fairbanks/Switzer studs from the ’70′s but OU needs to push to get these guys in.
