PJ, you need to study college and Big 12 hoops a bit before holding forth again. As w/ most OU fans, who only follow the round ball when OU is winning, basketball knowledge is lacking. The only automatic bid the conference gets is the winner of the end-of-season conf tourney. Not likely to be won by OU. Hence the worry they won’t be invited if they fade now.

I can’t even begin to understand the lack of ability to beat the full court press. Absolutely no pick/screening on the inbound. They better practice this because everyone will try to exploit this apparent weakness! C’mon guys!! time to step up.

Things that happened as a result of the OU/TX game:

1. A loss or two more, and kiss the automatic bid to the NCAAs goodbye. Hello NIT.

2. UT gave every other school in the Big 12 the recipe to defeat OU; just press hard and the Sooners fall apart.

3. If OU faces UT in the Big12 tourney, UT now has the advantage. The Longhorn players know they can make the Sooners buckle.

4. OU might not be an NCAA-tourney worthy team. It certainly doesn’t understand putting a dagger into the heart of its opponents.

5. OU’s coach let the game slip away. The loss is as much on him as it is on the players.

6. At least one OU player learned something about disrespecting opponents today. Too bad the lesson had to be learned at this time.

Can’t recall a worse choke job. And losing to a 5-10 Texas team, that must sting.
