To be honest. I thought the Lon Kruger hire was brilliant on Castiglione’s part. I was impressed that he took a terrible situation that Jeff Capel left him and Sampson before him and turned it around so quickly. I also liked that he immediately held open practices for the media and did everything he could to get the students to come to games. I always root for OU when they aren’t playing OSU.

As much as I hate to agree with you about Ford, but I think Ford is a way better recruiter than he is a coach. He’s finally gotten rid of Sutton’s last player in Keiton Page, so we will finally get to see his true coaching ability.

I’m pretty sure Rick Barnes will be looking for another job after this season.

Thank you Craftyman, as much as we argued I could’ve cared less about bringing up the Cowboys in this discussion. I only responded in reference to OSU and Baylor “blowing past” OU’s athletic department. Sorry, wasnt going to let that one slide, but it doesn’t matter now. (Agree to disagree).

OSU is going to get the better seed and probably have a better tournament, I really just hope OU gets in. I think that would be huge for us this year, and if we gave it away at this point it could really hurt.

As for the future of bball programs, I like where OU sits. Jay, I don’t know who “Sooner fans are turning on”, but I promise you it’s not Lon Kruger. I love Lon Kruger. Maybe I missed who you are referring to. I’d take Kruger over Ford any day of the week.

Let’s end this mess on one thing we should all be able to agree on though:

The “aggies” were brought up by one of your OU brethren, Lee.

I’ll say this and only this, OSU has 2 NCAA championships in basketball as the “aggies”. How many does OU have as the Sooners?

well the messages are slowing down, so i guess its getting out of everyone’s system. just wanted to say been a cowboy fan for 46 years, suffered through years of bad basketball and football, but the times are changing. osu sports are evolving into elite programs, thank you boone and coaches, and osu will continue to be top 20 teams far into te future. oh yeah more thing, ou sucks

Wow…..a story about a true “rivalry” (OU vs. UT) and of course the aggies have to crash the party. What do both of these teams (osu and ut) have in common? They dream of beating the Sooners on a “consistent” basis. And when it happens, they have to talk about it forever. I’m surprised that we haven’t seen 45-35 or 44-10 posted up yet lol!

Are your feelings hurt over being the laughingstock of the college basketball world or just for blowing that lead to a crappy Texas team?
As for empty arenas with no fan support, anyone been to Loyd Noble? Didn’t think so.
