This is a meaningless article. The only thing that matters to fans is how much they enjoy the game, the atmosphere, at their own stadium.

I love game day in Norman. The only thing I would say bringing the Norman game-day experience down is the oddly quiet crowd. I’ve been a louder High School games. The noise level is pretty low, no matter WHO we play. Remember Bob Stoops himself having to challenge fans to make more noise on a few occasions? Yup.

HAHA!! I have attended a game at Notre Dame, the person rating this experience must have sat in a sweet and not on the TINY wooden benches… No tailgaiting anywhere remotely close to the stadium!!!!

Alabama could be number #1 but so could LSU,Wisconsin,Auburn vs Georgia, These rankings are completely WHACKED!!!!!

There is no question the football stadium and atmosphere during games need much improvement. It’s like the obvious is being ignored.Oklahoma needs to get its act together if it plans on being an elite program. The stadium needs millions of dollars of upgrades quickly!!!

This is a pretty fair assessment. I assume the next blog will be regarding LNC being ranked 100th best college basketball arena, with Assembly Hall being #1. None of this is any surprise to any of us who attend the games.

If you look at the list, the rankings seem fair. The food got a 3, the fans got a 3, access got a 2 and extras got a 1. Everything else is a 4 or 5 (all out of 5). The food is about the stadium fare…nothing special there, hence a 3. Our fans tend to get quiet and leave early…no, not all fan bases do these things….a 3 is almost generous. Access and parking do in fact stink, but there are limitations for the university and the city of Norman. The “extras” is a ranking I take issue with. Our university has as beautiful a campus, as great a tailgating scene and pays as much homage to the great history of the program as one could expect, yet that is what I find are the same justifications for giving other stadiums a 4 or 5 rating. It is all subjective, obviously, but the “Extras” rating, IMO, costs this thing some credibility.

I definitely think they ranked OU too low, but they NAILED the number 1 stadium. I’ve never seen anything like an Alabama game in Bryant-Denny in all my life. AMAZING the atmosphere and noise. The passion of their fans is incredible. OU fans could stand to get some of that.

Obviously the “stadium experience” is far better than 73. My problem is the crowd never gets crazy/loud enough. We need to get the stadium hopping. I have been going to games for 25yrs (graduate and proud ticket holder for 10) and there have only been a few times I can remember the ENTIRE stadium going crazy! I don’t care if it’s against Florida A&M or not… Get loud!!! Go crazy!!! It’s in all of us!!! Let’s cheer them on to the National Championship!!!

So i guess I’m calling all you out that doesn’t do this already. Be proud to be a Sooner and freaking GO CRAZY!!!

Funny thing is, I didn’t even have to read who posted this whatever you want to call it. Anytime there is something to be written that sheds the Sooners in a negative light, just leave it to their “assigned beat writer”.

In regards to the “stadium experience” thing, it’s obvious when they attended the game in Norman, it was a game with absolutely no meaning. I’m sure the OU/ND or OU/OsU game experience sits a little higher than 70 something.
