He performed the same way he did the last four years when there was pressure on. He’s a minor version of of big-name quarterback like Brady, who are great when they are on a talented team and most of the time they are sitting in a pocket for ages without any pressure, but when the pressure comes consistently, they are no more than mediocre.

The QB that did most of the scoring and kept drives alive was the one that had the threat of running. He doesn’t have the arm LJ & Wilson have but made things happen. I’d rate him #1, Wilson #2 and Jones a show horse.

Myself, I’m going to miss Jones. I’ve never really understood some of the criticism he has received.

Why should anyone be surprised at his performance? For the past four years, he’s soiled his pants anytime a defensive player gets within 5 yards of him. He panics under pressure and that hasn’t changed throughout his entire career at OU. If the offensive line can keep the pressure away, he can pick a defense apart, but his confidence level hangs by a thread and all it takes to make him implode is the slightest bit of pressure. He has zero mobility and isn’t the least bit concerned about ball security, as long as he can avoid being hit.

He made one absolutely horrible throw when he was wrong-footed and thought he was about to get hit (he wasn’t). He’s a project at best.

You guys rip LJ, but would we have won WVU, OSU, Baylor games if we did not have him? OU would have been 7-6 at best this year without him. Or better yet, the typical would say we would have gone 13-0 with Blake Bell… Lets be real..
