is it just me, or is stoops becoming more like a politician and less like a football coach. just seems that way with his 180 deg flip on big xii champ and excuses. i remember early on he would say when asked about an injury at a position “give me a body to put out there, we will be okay” or something to that effect. not so much now. and whats with all the aggression toward anyone who questions him?

The facts are, OU is full of average, with one or two exceptions, players backed up by over rated recruiting class’s. A coach that is to busy reading his press clippings and takes a smug, self-righteous, no accountability attitude towards being ask about continuous problems. The press has put him on a throne where he now thinks he’s above accountability. They put players & recruits on lofty perches. The press generates nothing but unanswered questions for the fans by protecting Bob and making him out to be some kind of savior. When people see disgusting, pathetic play out of a program on the big stage on a continuous basis. Printing records about Bob’s past history won’t cut it. It is what it is.

Running game issue IS no quick hitters. OU always runs the slow developing run game. Give the ball to the guy 8 yards deep and let him wait until he sees an opening. Most of the tackles on the goal line came from the backside because it took so long for Bell to find a hole and move FORWARD. Why not put him under center and just go straight ahead? Why not put him under center and hand straight off to Millard up the middle? When you just need 2 yards and you have at least 2 downs to get it – got me.

He probably hasn’t t changed his private opinion, so he is willing to put with all of the people looking for anything to catch him on and not belittle the reward his players honestly worked for and earned. Does Snyder at K-State have to listen to this stuff? I doubt it. What would be the reaction of his players be, if he said we aren’t accepting a co-championship? K-State beat us and we beat the team that defeated K-State. Give it a rest!

The reason OU could pass block all season but couldn’t run block towards the end is simple: most of the linemen had lower body injuries and could hardly walk.

When you pass block, the goal is to not move. OU’s linemen were all capable of not moving.

When you run block, the goal is to move your guy backwards, which is difficult to do effectively when you can hardly walk.

The run game problem starts with the blockers. You can’t use pass blocking techniques to run block. I know that OU’s offensive lineman are as good as other top schools but they cannot seem to open holes. I believe they are not taught proper run blocking schemes.
