The shame comes not in Mike Stoops comments about Johnny Manziel but in the comments on his own coaching ability and the ability of his players. He said he had never felt so helpless. That was obvious from the start. It also showed when brother Bob got in his face after another Little Johnny run. The real shame is Mike didn’t even attempt to stop Manziel. He stayed with the hopeless game plan the entire time. Rush the front 4 that couldn’t pressure anyone all year. Count on the linebackers to make big plays in the open field. You have to be kidding. Try something else if what you are doing isn’t working. Bring in another defensive back and put Tony Jefferson to spy Little Johnny. Then at least you have your best defensive player on their best offensive player. It might not work, but so what neither was what you were doing before. If he is so helpless then he needs to QUIT TODAY!!!!!!!!!! If he cannot get the job done by his own admission then he needs to find something ELSE to DO!!!!!! This defense all year was a total disgrace. You give up more points and more yards than any OU defense has ever given up to to a team that got buried by Syracuse. As long as your brother is the boss you really don’t have to worry about being any good anyway because you can sit back and cash your checks and ignore the results.
