The offense is much better. Landry Jones has improved as the season as progressed and he has saved the season the last two games. The receivers have gotten much better as well. The defense is not just a work in progess it is a shambles in progress. The defense has regressed as the season has gone on. Can’t pressure the quarterback, can’t stop the run, can’t tackle in space. A lot more can’ts than cans. So, I would agree the offense is much better but the defense stinks. That shows up in the fact a lot of open coaching positions but do you hear anyone talking up Mike Stoops as a head coach? If no one wants your defensive coordinator it is because he isn’t any good. Mark Stoops has been interviewed but not big brother Mike. That tells all you need to know about the OU defense.
