Aaron Colvin a surprise?? What game were you watching?? The reason he had a pick and a tipped pass is because Geno Smith kept throwing his way to Stedman Bailey who had 13 catches for 205 yards and 4 TD’s. I’d say Bailey landed and partied on Colvins Island all night!!

While I was not a HUGE fan of Brent Venables and his INSCESSANT Zone Defenses against teams that CONSTANTLY sat in the gaps, I also do not think that a COMPLETELY MAN COVERAGE approach is the way to go. I would like to see a mixture of the two. Especially against teams like WVU and Baylor who spread the field on you so much. Using your safeties to stop the run has almost gotten us burned two weeks running.

The Interference call on Jefferson was trash in the FIRST place. One of the personal fouls was facemask, which was dumb, but the other, he barely pushed the guy out of bounds and they threw the flag. So, some of these penalties are toss ups. I’ve thought they’ve been riding our ass for tight coverage all year… so No worries to me.

Can’ t you appreciate the fact we won inspire of the poor defensive scheme? Landry Jones was spectacular and they played hard to the end.

It would appear that the defensive game plan defied logic…WV had been beaten by teams playing zone and had won early in the year against teams playing man–perhaps that should have been considered. Of course, one might question Holgerson taking so long to figure out how to use the best athlete on the field–and maybe OU could notice that they have a similar player in Roy Finch. If there were any half-time adjustments on the defense they were certainly not obvious. Lastly, I wonder if it was possible that the official in the reivew booth was the same one from Oregon in the PAC 12 –the one did notover rule on the obvious recovery by OU of the on-side kick–the one at WVU apparently could not tell a fumble when he saw one…and the penalty on the OU pass interference where it was lucky the ball did not hit a satellite it was so high over the receivers head.
OU was not lucky but they were fortunate. I think OSU has a better o and definitely a better d than the Mountaineers… TX may beat KSU but it will all be in vain if OU does not shore up the defense and win out!! Boomer Sooner…win Bedlam!!!

Mon. will be interesting. i doubt if there will be any cheering about that win. It was really telling how far the program has sank.

Metoyer and Neal only play one series. The 3rd of each game. That is why you don’t hear much from them. The rest of their PT comes when they are just giving a guy a breather.
