These sweetheart deals embody everything that is wrong with college football and the BCS. The 6 game BCS bowl system is nonsense. The favoritism shown to the SEC and the B1G creates an uneven playing field. To me, that does nothing but erode the integrity of the system even further. And while the SEC has been the best conference over the last few years, it will change. This "supremacy" cyclic and always have been. What exactly has the B1G done on the field to earn this favoritism over the Big XII and the Pac-12? It's all about the B1G TV sets and money. The BCS games should ALWAYS center around what a team has done that year. Conference affiliation beyond SOS is irrelevant. And the SOS factor for each conference changes every year. Just another reason why the system needs to move toward a true play-off. Let's abolish these sweetheart deals. And just one more note. The BCS Championship game bidding process is fine, so long as there is a process put into place that prevents a team from gaining a significant homefield advantage. LSU should never get to play for the championship in NOLA. Ditto The U in Miami. USC or UCLA at the Rose Bowl. The system is screaming for some much needed integrity.

ESPN and the SEC are the reigning champions of college football. ESPN got what it wanted and the SEC got what it wanted.
