He’s the one who approves what is published. He hired her and has defended her in the past. Yes, her columns are of the college newspaper variety. But she’s still in her first year away from college. Jenny Carlson’s first year work wasn’t much better. But look at her now. Even as a seasoned sports journalist, when the Oklahoman started video reporting, Jenny’s stage presence was not the quality we see now. Who knows how awkward she would have been in her first year if we had on-line video coverage back then? Stephanie’s air-headed high-schoolish ways will improve with experience and age. (I hope.)
