You got it right, Bill.

Speaking as a Negative Nillie, I was ready to pack it in and hope for next year.

These guys reached down and dug up some grit and sharp execution to steamroll their past two opponents.

I don't care how much Coach Stoops talks up the Cats, their perfect performance still required us to slip up two or three times in order to cash in that win.

So we go into a funk for part of a home game and lose our grip on a victory that was ours to lose.

Now these guys look like dogs on a bone, and I don't want to be the one trying to get it away from them.

Lack of "talent?" Whatever. All I can say is, they now look equally tough (tell Hoover) and sharp, which is not the same thing.

Landry and his receivers sure look like they know each other now. Not good news for an Irish resurrection trying to happen.

We'll see how good that Notre "D" is when they visit Norman, with Sooner home field integrity to re-claim.

Do we smell a little of that 2000 title team locker room resentment smoldering?

Turn loose the rage! Bring everybody to the verge of tears like Stoops almost did Hoover in that post-game presser.

Sorry John (I enjoyed that).

God Works in Mysterious Ways
I wasn’t as down on the Sooners as many seemed to be after their loss to KSU, but God works in mysterious ways. Screaming cries from the nay sayers and the back stabbers; loud Strokes from Negative Nillies dominated the blogospheres. Give up the ship they screamed, bench Landry Jones, no talent, write off this year and build on the next. The OU players weren’t isolated in a cocoon from that crap. They heard what people were saying. Their answer; Bullcrap’honkydonkymalananky, no how no way, that’s what the Sooners say! The response I have watched develop in the team is a closeness, a brotherhood, and a non-selfish, one for all and all for one attitude. I’ve felt that Radiating from the team more this year than I have in quite some time. When friends and teammates are ostracized by the outside world, they rely on each other more and more for support, and by doing so become closer and stronger than they ever would have otherwise. So to You Negative Nillies, in a way, we appreciate your help. You see, God truly does work in mysterious ways.

That has to be the most complete game I've seen OU play in quite some time. Hats off to the O-line and the entire defensive squad. If they can keep up that intensity they should win out. I have tickets to the Notre Dame game. Can't wait.
