Stoops has always played his starters longer than necessary and it has always come back to bite him in the ass when a starter goes down. Recall the Texas v OU game when we lost our starting middle LB and had no one ready to play and lost that game. It is his MO though and he is a winning coach.

Wort was the biggest disappointment, but he has been most of this season. Maybe he should move to DE?

All you “Williams-beats-Whaley” guys who jumped all over Miss Stephanie because of her stat deficit are pretty stat-challenged yourselves.

Williams’ average comes from a couple long runs with gaping holes against less challenging opponents, late in the games when they were worn out, and Damien even SAID so.

Stop trying to anoint a Heisman winner because he got some good highlights you can brag about to your OSU friends.

If Whaley’s number had been called on those two long highlight reel romps, you’d be trumpeting “Dom’s back!”

By the way, he is back. He set up one of the Belldozer’s two scores, but don’t acknowledge that. And the good run was immediately after getting absolutely SOCKED by a P-O’d linebacker whom Millard missed on the block the play before.

Dom is still Dom and he’s more of a stud than before. I can’t believe how tough he’s running after coming off that horrible break last year.

You guys jump at eye candy too quickly.

If Damien has anything on Dom Whaley, so far, it’s his receivers’ hands, and awareness of his QB’s eye-lock on him. That sideline pass that went for 30 or so yard, was downright “scenic.”

I agree with Stoops decision to keep the starters in late into the game. The offense is in serious lack of game-time experience and there is no substitute for that. Not to mention, Texas is coming up next.

I though ms Kuzydym had a great article and very interesting.And she writes as good as some that write for the Dallas Morning news and Ft Worth newspapers.

I think I have to agree with several of the others who have posted on here. It looks like Kuzydymn has only seen the stats and missed seeing the game itself. I thought Landry played a very good game, but I have never been one of those who had given up on him.

Overall, this was a pretty good performance synopsis. I would have stayed away from having Stoops and Landry as underachievers, especially in a lopsided win and when the QB has no turnovers.

Also, Damien Williams is a beast, a few stops for a loss dropped his average, but that 38 yard in-stride reception was ridiculous. Dom has his place in the lineup and showed that missing burst in his 18 yard run.

Wow! That Dom vs Damion part baffles me! You get your reasoning from one stat line? Dom only had 2 carries, 1 went for a good gain, that’s why he had a higher ypc. But sticking with that stat you get all your reasoning from, Damion has a 7.8 ypc through 4 games, dom’s is 5.9 ypc.

Agree with most, except the receivers already here are on the bench, so it’s kind of hard to catch one from where they are sitting. Shannon was great; Wort came back in and promptly whiffed again. Julian Wilson had a few good plays, but a few bad ones as well.
