Landry had a strong game…not a GREAT game. He made better decisions and took care of the ball and for the most part his passes were on the money, except for a couple of times in the second half where I thought he was trying to force things again…he was lucky he wasn’t picked a time or two. He threw into coverage (4 defenders in the area) and almost threw to a linebacker instead of his receiver once. Other than those two circumstances his passes were good and generally on target and he did much better avoiding the sack. The O-line was better, but LJ could even benefit more if we could churn out 150 yards a game on the ground.

It’s about consistency. I am praying Saturday wasn’t an aberration. Stoops is right….we got the turnovers and won the game. KSU got them two weeks ago and beat our rear. WVU survived 2 TOs and won…tells you something.. Hopefully LJ can avoid the mistakes…if he does, we can win a lot of games with a strong defense.

Travis: Appreciate you saying you like most of my work. I assure you that I’m not trying to stir up any controversy whatsoever. And I disagree that everyone who says Landry should be benched is unintelligent. I disagree with them, but I have gotten tons of emails from passionate, smart, energetic OU fans who feel that way. I have done mailbag posts and live chats where people have told me they want to see Bell, and I’ve told them they are wrong to want Landry benched. Also, for the record, Gina Mizell’s reporting on the apology was 100 percent accurate.

So a guy writes that Landry his best game since Ryan Broyles tore up his knee. The author speaks directly to this and then simply says that Blake Bell is happy being a backup. The Author then quotes Blake saying he knows his time is next yr and Landry is the man. Yet the author is trying to start controversy?

Travis you may be an Actual OU Alum but your reading comprehension is lacking in my humble opinion. Now I will say this is pointless but Jason’s job is to get clicks. How in the world this is stirring controversy I have yet to understand and I have read it at least 5 times now.

This is a stupid and pointless article, Jason. And usually yours are pretty good too.

This is a lame excuse for your organization to try and stir up some drama in the form of a QB debate. Landry is a 5th year senior and a fairly decent QB (when he isn’t trying to force things). Anyone who says that he should benched is not an intelligent football fan, and completly unrealistic (and probably a bandwagon OU fan since 2000). Blake will have his time in 2013, but for you to stir up controversy to get more page views (similar to Gina’s OSU Big 12 fake apology hoopla earlier this week) is disturbing, and makes me lose a little respect for you.

Go Landry, and BOOMER! (from an actual OU Alum)
