That’s crap in my definition.

My opinion? Stoops should have a full-scale scrimmage of ones against ones and let the chips fall where they may. Message to the team that if they are playing against OU’s best…they should be playing AGAINST the best just as hard. Team plays crappy? Then schedule another first thing Tuesday morning. Drill into the players heads that this is a game, but not for sissies.

Both Bud and Barry were never afraid of playing “what-ifs”, but they always made their teams better by playing best on best in practice. In fact…Switzers 75 National Champions did that very thing before playing Michigan in the Orange Bowl. Says he wasn’t happy with the offenses execution, nor the defenses play against a running team. Pretty gutsy…but it worked didn’t it?

Call me crazy…but what is there to lose?

Yes, it would have been better to have a bye week later in the season, but that is one of the prices you pay to schedule Notre Dame. I figure OU will still have a couple of more bye weeks…if by bye week you mean a week that they don’t play. They may show up for a game but that doesn’t mean they play.
