I sure get tired of all of you "optimistic" folks who are so down on the Sooner program. It is always gloom and doom. Isn't there anything about the program that is positive? I think it is far too early to write off this team and Landry Jones.

Coaches are paid to coach and make tough decisions....they are hired because they are supposed to be competent enough to rate talent and find ways to use it. I have always respected Stoops until this last go 'round. LJ hasn't been anywhere near good enough to QB the talent that is on the team since Broyles went out. After spring ball, fall ball, and 5 weeks of regular season games including 2 bye weeks, LJ still has trouble finding receivers and hitting them when they are wide open. Apparently we cannot throw effectively to those 7-8 highly touted receivers. Still no chemistry....which means defenses will do exactly what KSU did...shut down the run and pressure LJ into making a mistake...the solution seems obvious....get a QB that can run and throw when he needs to. Without a rushing attack OU will struggle to win many games...the o-line isn't getting it done for the RBs. QB draws...zone read...the QB has to be productive. Our lines are undersized and we are not deep. Sure, you risk getting Bell hurt and Bell fumbling....but there are no guarantees that LJ won't get hurt or make a mistake either.
