This year most all Big 12 teams are playing lesser competition. Seems that while most Big 12 teams have won too many of the games they have struggled to win. In general though I would say that these games have not shown much as to how really strong the Big 12 teams are. I mean c'mon WVU playing Marshal? OU playing the "Miners", Texas playing Wyoming, and OSU playing Savannah.... The rankings will fall in to place in the next 3 weeks as Big 12 teams begin playing each other as competition ratchets up. So, I would not take this writers assessment too seriously.

I am an OSU fan so I am biased. Still I believe OSU fields a very strong team. Yeah they lost to Arizona...but they are showing they are not a cupcake team and doing extremely well. My opinion on that game is one that the Pokes were not mentally ready for. Pokes choked themselves with penaltys not Arizona and turnovers were not so much caused by Arizona either. Even with the errors OSU had over 600 yards on offense. So, I would not base the rest of the year on how OSU played one year. Yes, Texas will be tough...but the game is in Stillwater. Texax defense I think was better last year...while their offense passing attack has improved so they are more balanced. I believe OSU offense will play well against Texas but the key to the game will be the OSU defense front Dline stopping the run and putting pressure on Ash... Ash has thrown well but he truly has not had much pressure on him when he throws.
