While watching 2 teams that are suppost to be similar in capabilities, it is alarming to watch the difference in offensive line play between Alabama and the Sooners. This is nothing new, though. Every play OU's lineman are picking themselves up off the turf. It is very rare that I saw a Tide lineman even hit the turf; and I would assume the calaber of d-lineman is not comparable between utep and big blue. Just an observation, but seems like a big issue in the problems with pass protection and especially opening holes for the run.

Agree with most everything said except the kudos given to Damien Williams....he ran that play in the 4th quarter near the end of the game. UTEP was gassed by then and the game was stopped several times due to cramping by UTEP. Without that one run Damien would have averaged less than 4 yards per carry. A big run was nice but is not indicative of how well Damien did or how that play developed. I might have said otherwise if the run was earlier in the game but it was not. When I look at the stats for running plays if there is only one big run I toss it out and see what the other runs totaled and averaged. Based on what I saw, against a smallish defense, OU running attack was not so hot.
