Correctable problems with assignment football and execution. Easy stuff.

I think we saw a bit of that towards the end of the game. I see the team playing much better next week, and hopefully...Coach won't give the team a week off if they aren't playing top-notch football. Too many things to work on during an off week before the gamet of KSU, Tech and Texas.

No reason to panic. OU has many new players that need to hone their parts in the machine. They'll be fine.

5 million dollar Bob could look like -5 trillion dollar Obama if he can't get this team to perform as a top five team should. I will not be surprised if OU isn't ranked in the top ten when the polls come out.

Don't you love it when you see a bewildered look on the face of a Multi-Millionaire coach, floundering in the face of defeat to a Small College. Media comparing him to Bud and Barry, while all the time leaving out the more important stats. Will there be any "man-up" statements from the anointed one at the presser or will the media just sweep this game under the carpet.

Too much thinking on offense by LJ. Held the ball too long. Waited in the perfect matchup and throw. Afraid of an interception or mistake....that can get you beat....LJ played much better in the "hurry up.". We ran 73 plays...usually more like 85-90 plays. When we ran the hurry up...the real hurry up, we gassed UTEP and caught them with mistakes. Have these guys really been working together as a unit...at times would you never think so...looked like one of those all-star games on offense...bad timing, confusion, lack of concentration...3 fumbles?

Jeffery, a good back, got 71 of his 177 yards on a bad play by Javon Harris, who obviously still has a hard time concentrating. He just seems to go to sleep sometimes. Slow to react. When he is on, he is great, he is just inconsistent. How do you cure that? The coaches need to find the answer because they need him to be consistent with the holes we have on the D-Line. Pray McGee is re-instated and Walker comes back...other than one huge run, the defense performed better than expected....OU gave up 7! And the D didn't give that up! Go back and check when the last time OU held a team to less than 250 total yards. ANY TEAM! It has been a while.

Remember, the UTEP QB, has been picked as the all conference QB in UTEP'S conference. Not a bad night for the Sooner D. We have seen worse in season openers. Where is the fire on offense?

Need to use the BELLDOZER MORE! We have to make first downs...if our line can't make a hole and needs a couple of extra blockers, use him...it is about moving the chains....Tim Tebow helped Florida win 2 NCs. The first one in a back up role! Running the ball when others couldn't. It shouldnt be about a pride or loyalty thing, it is about winning. If we don't have others who can get it done, use what has proven to work...just ask Iowa.

It's a WIN...let's not forget that...on the road, MIDNIGHT with the Sooners....just smelled of upset. Not a good way to one the season, when you already know your team struggles on the road...not a good time to play a game...it ended sometime a little after 1:00 AM... REALLY? This is your season opener? On the road, at midnight? Yes, both teams played in the same circumstances, but one had a great advantage...it was a home game, they have played late games before like this...they are in a different time zone...they are more acclimated to these things. Not excuses, just facts. I hate going west to play anybody! Especially when we are playing late...

OU physically beat down UTEP from the middle of the 3rd quarter forward.. We had greater depth, talent wise for someone like UTEP, and we were in better physical condition....not much cramping. They played a good game for 2 1/2 quarters. OU was on the way to breaking it open in the 4th. FINALLY....
