When people ask about Bob Stoops’ performance rating, I have to believe that those people have forgotten the John Blake era when OU went 12-22. In my estimation, and from a Pennsylvanian who has been a Sooners fan for a real long time, his approval rating is 150%. Pick another coach in college football, other than those that have been caught cheating or those we know do but get away with it, that has been a better influence on OU ball. Would Nick Saban or Les Miles have kicked Rhett Bomar off the team? I highly doubt it. For those of you who don’t remember Rhett, he was the #1 rated QB in the US. But then, I am sorry to say, most fans are somewhat short-sighted about the game.

No matter….Mike and BJWright will get that fixed. Mike had less talent at Arizona and had injury bugs, etc. to overcome and could usually do so. Our bench could start at Arizona. It’s the O-Line that is a mess. We haven’t had one since KW left for Indiana. He was one heck,of an o-line coach.

Doesn’t sound like the problems in the middle of our defense are going to get any better any time soon. Lots of rumors going around that Casey Walker is done playing football.

I was not that surprised by the score, we oftentimes start slow and unlike most of the other ranked teams, had to go on the road. There is some work to be done but I predict a much different performance in Norman on Saturday. (by the way, I do APPROVE of the coach…)

Walks like a Duck, Looks like a Duck, Quacks like a Duck, It’s a friggin duck. Can you say 8-4/9-3. Their were 20 teams that LOST yesterday that are better than OU, not counting the ones that won.

The OU D gave up ONE really big play all night – a 71 yard run… Yes, run D is obviously an issue…but overall, GREAT job, Defense!
