After the game it is obvious Washington State will be hard pressed to one win one game this year. What was a new offense in college football 10 years ago is now the norm. Maybe he should have stayed in Key West and dreamed of days gone by.

What are you blaming everyone else for, Texas Tech was stupid enough to fire a good coach over a player whining he was punished by having to stay in a room alone while the team practiced.

If they had any pressure on them it was at most by the media being the players father was a ESPN broadcaster, even then they caved fast enough that it seems likely someone in the Texas Tech administration was looking for a reason to get him out already.

Add to that they had hired Bob Knight for basketball which made them look even dumber to imply they are fine with a coach that chokes a player but if one made them sit in a room alone that would be unforgivable.

Not only are Coach Leach and the Red Raiders’ infamous accomplishments on the football field upsetting to the solid tradition of "almost good" and "nearly excellent" at Texas Tech, but I don’t think the powers that be in collegiate athletics realize the gravity of this situation. The established order of the entire college football world is at risk. A non-traditional coach running an unconventional offense at a step-child school with a bunch of less-than-blue-chip athletes continues its journey on an unprecedented path of success. The big money schools with the well-earned reputations are being seriously imperiled by this insignificant upstart from the treeless, dusty and backward West Texas plains. This is unconscionable!
And these pretenders have the audacity to think they can be competitive with the University of Texas, Texas A&M, and the University of Oklahoma on a regular basis. This cannot stand. It should be obvious to everyone with any loyalty or decency, after all, that what’s good for Texas Longhorn football, to paraphrase a famous CEO of General Motors, is good for the country!
And what’s possibly even worse, the graduation rate of Texas Tech football players is tops in the conference and among the best in the country—again. There’s no way that Texas Tech can be allowed to succeed with the type of athletes that perform both on the field and in the classroom.
There is only one solution to this scourge on the NCAA and all it stands for. We call for—no, we demand the immediate resignation of Coach Leach! The amusingly proud, but misguided players and supporters of Texas Tech must be put back in their proper place. The unquestioned authority and privileged position of entrenched interests and institutions must be maintained for the good of all collegiate athletics.
But wait …that little upstart has somehow convinced another "almost good" and "nearly excellent", that he is capable of contending in the Pac 12. If you have a lick of sense in your head you best not start doubting this offensive guru. Whatever you do don’t bet the farm on him not figuring out a way to steal your loyalty… your college devotion… and your Saturdays… from this day forward. He can’t help himself he is just destined to win!!!! Treat him right and do not take him for granted.
