I remember Mizzou QB Chase Daniel getting upset that OU had been favored to win this game. He was like, "... we can't get any respect...". Well, considering that Mizzou hadn't beaten OU since forever and had lost to them in '06 (in Columbia), and not even hardly a month prior, you could understand why OU was favored.

Had Mizzou won, I'd definitely give them their just due, but I knew that while they were good, they weren't THAT good. They benefited from the fact that there were some many top programs getting upset week after week, that they ran the table all the way to the top.

We OU fans knew what was coming, even though the whole football world thought Mizzou was the real deal. Not to sound cocky...but Mizzou had no idea what REAL pressure to win was like, nor a coach that had any experience in preparing a team for that pressure. And the Tigers played as such. But it didn't really matter...From the opening kickoff, it was obvious OU came to play...and WIN!
