The announcers were so biased and wanted an upset so bad…I can never forget the call on 4th down for A&M with Ja’maar Toomes breaking five sloppy tackles on his way to a TD while we were trying to strip the ball and the announcer saying “He may have just “buried” OU!!!! That call, Marshalls TD interception, and Stoops screaming for a call when A&M offense broke the huddle with 12 men. I thought his timing may have disrupted the momentum and was yelling at my TV for him to STOP! A great, great game for a great, great team that had the “refuse to lose” attitude!

I still think that this was one of the best defensive plays if not the best of the Stoops era. The only one that rivals would be watching Roy with his superman impression against Texas… Paul you hit the nail on the head, for 8 years I have wished the Stoops brothers back together for a NC run! Here’s to a great and historic year… May SOONER MAGIC return for another season! BOOMER!

That Torrance Marshall play might be the number one single play in the Bob Stoops era. It saved the perfect season and allowed OU to keep on track for their showdown to win the NC. Hard to top that.

This game epitomizes what it takes to win NCs. The problem OU has had since 2000 has been not getting big plays on defense when we have had our backs against the wall on the road. This is one thing I love about Mike Stoops defensive philosophy. Although not fool proof, his attacking style can turn the momentum in a game when you need it. This is one reason I think we will have a great season to come!

Agree. Definitely a top 10 win. On the road…tight game…NC still alive and well. I think this game game the defense the swagger that showed up in the Big 12 game and the NC.
