Think you stretched it a bit with Bomar....very overrated. Not an efficient passer and was a "ME" player, not a "WE" player. Best thing that happened to OU was that he LEFT! The cartwheel against the POKES won him a Heisman. He could run the ball, even suffered a concussion against TT. What you have to remember is OU is a throw first run second offense. Why would you risk injury to a QB who was one of college football's most prolific efficient passers? I like Tebow, but he can't begin to compare with Slingin' Sammy! He may have a couple of rings, but Bradford will have a longer career.

You guys are right. Bradford did make plays with his feet, running out of bounds to escape a loss, running out of the grasp of a tackler to fall down to keep from getting tackled, rolling out to find a receiver, running for his life to give the receiver time to get open. Since '08 was mentioned. What happened in the BCS Fla. game when OU had the ball inside the Fla. ONE yd. line 1st & 10. What happened again later in the first qtr. at the Fla. 3. He's a runner alright.....Thats why he won't ever be considered in the same breath as Tebow, Cam Newton, Colt McCoy, Vince Young, Jason White, Rhett Bomar, etc. etc.

I prefer my quarterback to throw timely interceptions rather than untimely interceptions.

You can add to the list of negatives on Jones his tendency to fumble the ball, untouched, when attempting to pass near his own team's goal line.

This writer must have been paid off by LJ. Yup, he has and will have most of the OU passing records...but hey he will have played 4 years....he should have good Stats. Tannehill has barely two years experience and not near the receiving corp that LJ has had.

Old happy feet has been horrible in the red zone. NFL coaches see that...would they invest in a bellzozer to help them out here? LJ was terrible playing OState... it is not wonder the backed out of the draft. He will have to show some big improvements to be drafted high next year, He would have probably been drafted no better than 3rd. round this year. Tannehill has much more upside than Jonesey.

Yep..Bradford made a lot of plays with his feet. He was great on roll outs and throwing on the run when chased from the pocket. Or he could run down field. LJ has never been able to do that. Bradford is more athletic. Played many sports. LJ has an arm..that is his strength. Let's hope our O-line will give him time and protection..if that happens OU will win a lot of games this yea if it can win on the road.

Nobody questions the NFL ability of Landry's arm. What most question is his leadership intangibles and passion that a leader HAS to have in order to win a National Championship. Landry has never shown that on the field fire and determination to lead and get in people's faces when necessary. Maybe/hopefully that will change this year, or OU will underachieve again.

Willie, Sorry, but you couldn't be more wrong on Bradford. He made plays with his feet all the time. That is one of the things that separates him from Jones. Just because he didn't run 15 yards downfield like Tebow, doesn't mean he wasn't making plays with his feet. Making plays with your feet at the QB position also means buying extra time in the pocket and escaping pressure to deliver the ball down field. And at that, Bradford was superb. Besides, when he had to take off downfield, he did. Rewind and watch that '08 game vs. the Pokes. -Richard

Landry has some Nate Hybil tendencies. Both Bradford and Jones have no ability to make plays with their feet, whether it is by design of the offense, coaching or inability, that is the one talent that separates the Jone's and Bradford's from the Tebow's. When talking strictly college football, QB's with the ability to make plays with their feet as well as their arms seem to be a more successful leader and the teams they lead have greater success.
