Is there a follow-up on this story? When Mr. Haney left, the credibility went with him. Guess the guy is still in jail?

We have had athletes that have made multiple mistakes and turned their lives and outlook around and became role models and leaders. It is a choice this young man can only make for himself. I hope for his sake this is an awakening reality check. What a shame if he takes the wrong Y in the road because so many young athletes have huge hearts, desire to play, and would work countless hours to be talented enough to play at this level.

You are correct. There are 2 sides. No one has questioned the guilt or innocence of the Division – I athletes. What is in question is their judgment, their respect for themselves and the law. There is a time and place for attitude – especially for D-I athletes….save for the field. And like the song says…R-E-S-P-E-C-T….it will take you a long way in life…

All you yeawhos who are running the kid down,don’t have all the facts. there are two sides to a story. I can see it’s all here say,from where i sit. The law officer is a probable liar like most officers,out to get his bucky beaver badage,which intern makes his quota.No mary jane was found,to prove his nose wasn’t warrented to the news print printed.So he lied.The kids were drinking some drink more than others. When that happens some kids don’t behave.I’ve been there. How about yall?Oh never been there?Try it and see what the cop says after he pulls you over. ps.i always hated english,thats why i write the way i do.

Did we really want this guy? That kind of attitude and those kinds of problems indicate a lack of what it takes to succeed at Oklahoma. Another Josh Jarboe…a four-star athlete, but not a four-star prospect…
