I hate playing KSU before UT. Take it to the bank, no one hits harder than KSU. Seems we always have a key injury that happens when we play them. Maybe a Sept. game will be different, but I don't think so. Coaches need to be cognizant of that when game planning. A key to the game should be avoiding injuries..

I like the off week before KSU. We need to move the Kansas game to the other Sept. off date and have an off date before ND. Seems that could be worked out.

Something has to happen to Sept. UTEP will be a regional telecast more than likely...maybe a 2:30 game. FAMU will be PPV. likely to be hot at that time, so OU may opt for a night game, if possible.

First national telecast will be KSU - a night game, ABC at 7:00 PM, unless there is another big game that would produce a split telecast.

ONE major televised game in Sept.?? Something has to move...my vote is KU or BU. A week off before WVU would be sweet, too. If those fail..move the TCU game to Sept. I hate Dec. games unless they are title games. The weather really becomes a factor in Dec.

If "an & but's were candy and nuts" you know the rest. OU has a great record against most average to above average teams, under Stoops. Won more Conference Titles in the last decade than any other team and set a few (Off.) records along the way. That's good. Now, the other side of the coin. "say it ain't so, Mammy"-"Say good bye to Broadway" their performance on the big stage, except for a few Texas games, has been disappointing, to say the least. In general, not true under Barry, absolutely true under Bob. When you root with your heart, instead of your eye's and brain, things always seem a little roseier(more Crimson) than what they really are.

Well the schedule is a tight fit.We just need Landry Jones to learn how to look off his receivers and run when no ones open he can always throw it away.Oh we have to train the coaching to add this to their game plan. But we need the receivers to learn how to run their routes 10yards and beyond, and leave that space inbetween for releaseing tightends and halfbacks. So perhaps if a receiver catchs a ball it will result in an automatic first down.Oh yes teach the coaching staff this also. Now all we need is a special teams coach, and teach Bob how to throw the hell barry with 5seconds left in the first half, and we are 12 and 0!!!!!!!!

Talking with OU fans I hear allot of complaints about conference play starting too early. If we ever want to see a play off system conference play has to begin early and non conference games have to be reduced or scaled down. There are several points of view about playing teams like UTEP, Florida A&M and teams at their level. I can understand opening up with those level of teams so that you can get an idea of strength, weaknesses, depth and a look at players that are on the bubble. Aside from that those type of games can only hurt you. Nebraska played the University of South Dakota early last year at home. They came out flat, not ready to play, had horrible week of practice, a key starter hurt from a cheap shot after the whistle long with two other injuries and almost got beat. This game effected them the rest of the season.

It is about attitude and injuries. That is what held OU back last hear. They have the talent...the question is ...have they matured and grown up....are there REAL leaders on the team. ...do they have heart and pride....how bad do they want it. I am not going to sell them short of an undefeated season if all those factors happen. We have new folks coaching defense...we will see a change...if not, then bigger changes are coming.

The schedule is difficult only in the sense that WVU, TCU, and an unpredictable TT team are on the road. UT still doesn't have a QB to fit Harsin's system. TCU will recover...too much talent..and a great coaching staff. TCU will be as good as BU this year. WVU is the FSU game...biggest issue the the kind of QB and the atmosphere at Morgantown. It WILL be a challenge, especially at that time of the year
when who knows what the weather will be. Champions need a little luck...OU will have to have some next year. AND Jerry is right...the conference will be down next year as most teams will have a lot of youth and new coaches.

harry....which teams on the OU schedule look to be really good teams next year? Baylor without RGIII? TCU without several players? OSU with a new QB and recieivers? Maybe Iowa State and Kansas? It just isn't that tough of a schedule. The Big XII next year just doesn't look like it is going to be a powerhouse conference. KState should be good but certainly not NC caliber. WVU looked good at times last year....against lesser opponents. I am an OU fan but they are going to have to overachieve to convince people who are objective. I think 7-5 is possible but not very likely, but who would have every thought UT would go 5-7 and then 7-5. I still say a 10-2 season and a trip to the Cotton Bowl would be a very good year.

The schedule isn't all that tough. Look at the LSU schedule last year. It is just that after this past season fans realize OU is not an elite team. They can lose to anybody at any time. The only team in the Big XII that looks very good is WVU. KState looks to be good, Texas might be good. The rest of the teams will be fair to poor. Notre Dame is usually a good team and that is the only decent team on the non-conference schedule. It isn't really an overwhelming schedule.....if OU were a really good team which they don't look to be. OU might win the Big XII but would finish fourth in the SEC WEST....and I am NOT an SEC fan....I hate the SEC, but that is the way it looks.

No doubt ...a tough schedule...look for a different attitude by coaches and therefore players. OU needs a real leader to emerge...like GK McCoy, AD, Antonio Perkins, Mark Clayton, etc.....the players have to learn that you must EARN swagger. No one saw OU coming in 2000. If they get the right kind of leadership and talent and stay healthy....they have a chance to be champions....of at least the Big 12....if they can get out of Morgantown....
