Without being too negative, I do find it necessary to make this observation: the DailyOK really needs you. I neither desire nor intend to desparage other sports writers, so I will not launch an ad hominem screed.

Isn’t this bowl game the one with the latest kickoff? Again, all about the TV stuff, not about players and fans. Instead of a marathon of football on Friday which is why there is a late game, why wasn’t one of the Dec. 30 games moved to another day when there was only one or two bowl games? Last 9:00 pm kickoff was TT…..of course it was weather delayed…but just saying….not a good outcome.

9pm kickoff. I once had Berry Tramel tell me in an email that if OU joined the Pac-12 conference, that there would not be any more late kickoffs than normal. Idiot or liar, not sure which.

9 pm kick. Thats normally the time they are picking out their party dress. Great and factual statement about Stoops managing well in bowls that are meaningless. Guess Bob has finally got the drift that the “I’m above accountability” mentality has worn people thin. That Bob’s Book of Excuses is off the Best Sellers list. Being candid is a time tested way of winning with the fans, unless you’ve got something to hide. Late kick works in Iowa’s favor. We’ll know how the game will go after the first close-up of Jones. If he has that “deer in the headlight” look, like he’s had in TT. Baylor, KU, OSU, MU, it’s gonna be a long night for the Crimson&Cream and the 10 fans that went out there.
