I beliveve ou will use the “50″ in most situations against the cowboys. It will be interesting to see how they defend a healthy blackmon this year where last year he could barely walk. I also think osu will show some new wrinkles in the passing game such as swing passes to Randle to offset ou’s quickness in their plan to pressure Weeden. The cowboys will attack the middle of ou’s secondary from short range to help relieve the pass rush. Defensively, state must bring more pressure on Landry up the middle to close up his passing lanes.

As a Sooner fan, I am not looking forward to this game. OU is going to get torched just as it did in Waco. Weeden is smart and good enough to get the ball off before our DEs can penetrate that decent OSU line, and our secondary cannot cover (period). Meanwhile, OU’s receivers will have the dropsies as usual, and Landry will go into a shell. This is not going to be pretty for OU.

The Sooners must SMOTHER Weeden, don’t give him a chance to breath let alone set his feet. It happened once before to a mature ex-pro pitcher and Heisman winner, Chris Weinke of FSU.
No QB including Peyton Manning and Tom Brady have been successful when they are getting hit in the mouth on nearly every play. Add to that jamming the receivers on the line and OU may prevail. BOOMER SOONER, may the best team win!

If this thing turns into Ice Bowl II as the forecasters say is at least a possibility, then all bets about high-powered offenses are off. Could turn into a slip-and-slide fest.
