I agree with you gotcher, injuries have hurt us and will impact the outcome of the rest of the season. Broyles was the icing on the cake but the real damage was the loss of Whaley. It has really impacted our offensive game plan, inside the red zone, and has left us 3rd and long the last 3 games. We saw the start of it during the Tech game and we have not found an answer for our ground game since. I was hoping Finch we be more productive and it is obvious why we had not seen as much him as many expected this season. Our defense must must step up like last week, come up with turn overs and keep opposing offenses from putting up big numbers on the scoreboard. The defense will determine the outcome of the remaining games. The question will be can they shut down OSU and their ability to throw on first down successfully because of their strength running the ball between the tackles. If we can have one of our better defensive performances we can beat OSU in their backyard but we will not be able to expect to answer defensive break downs back with our offense as we have in the past when scored upon.

Judge, go ahead. Concede the game to LSU and/or Alabama. I think most Sooner fans don't want to settle for a Cotton Bowl bid. And even though OSU isn't our prime time favorite, we would appreciate it they managed to dig in against either of the SEC teams. You can praise their defenses as much as you want. But the key is neither of them put together any kind of drive throughout the whole game. Nobody on that field, especially the QBs, had any resemblance to the kind of fire-power both OU and OSU can produce. Again, Nine to Six! That isn't football, it's more like a sorry soccer match.

It's not the offense of LSU or Alabama that will beat you. It's that man child defense that makes the difference. With OU not having a running game, they would tee off on that rapid fire offense. OU needs to avoid those two teams. I'm hoping for a Cotton Bowl bid against SC or Auburn, Arkansas. This might be OSU's year to roll up on the Sooner's. Stoops hasn't had them focused and fired up to play lately.

Great job as usual Travis...I have told you before but us info junkies appreciate the hard work. I feel like I have been cheated for my first 39 years of existence but not sure how this much info would be possible to provide pre-internet.

This latest win was costly, as was the previous one. First Whaley, then Broyles. Both great parts of an offense that at times appears absolutely unstoppable. I know every pundit in the country raved about that debacle at Alabama, where LSU won a totally boring game. Nine to six! Neither of those teams has an offense. Be nice to see them have to take on the Sooners, provided Oklahoma had a healthy eleven on offense. Would be the same if OSU got a chance to show two of the most boring teams in college football what lighting up the board in a big game really means.

Thanks Travis. You should start practicing for TV and take Deans' job, he just mails it in and is hard to watch. I really like Bird, we haven't had a big LB like him a while, but he is too good to keep off the field. Wort may have to move over next year. Nelson at WLB, Bird MLB, Wort SLB, Jefferson Royback.
