I think the Big 12 is stronger with West Virginia and TCU replacing Texas A&M and Missouri. Over the last decade TCU and West Virginia have consistently been rated in the top 25 won conference championships and were invited to play in BCS Bowls.

When was the last time Missouri or Texas A & M won a conference championship and were invited to a BCS Bowl

As far as wishful thinking is concerned, how about stealing Iowa and Illinois away from the Big Ten. Will never happen but would set up a north division nicely.

A&M had the chance to join the SEC without having to bring any other school along. The Sooners attempted to leave and had to learn they must have the horn's and Cowboys along with them to leave. That is so funny! The reality of OU is they are viewed as a powerhouse but when tv money talks they are just a small player in a small state.

I have a question: Is the OU President still "confused" about the proposed Big 12 network ? Ha Ha !

Aggie logic at its finest. A&M leaves and everybody else is to blame. In this whole mess there is plenty of blame to go around and A&M is at or near the top of the list. A&M left for all the wrong reasons. They left because of ego and they found someone (SEC) willing to scratch them behind the ears. The first fallout of their move is losing a 100+ year game with their biggest rival. That game defined A&M much more than it did Texas and A&M basically kicked it to the curb.

your comment about severing natural rivalries by Texas A&M does not wash. A&M has made it clear they are more than happy to continue the rivaly with tu, but texas would rather pout, so it is texas that is choosing to end the series. The only other in state rivalries are Bayor (who cares) and Tech (good riddance)Also, it is not so much a matter of a few extra million dollars as it is the greed, and arrogance of texas and the unfair way the conference was governed. You will remember that OU and OK State were on the way out just a few short weeks ago for exactly that same reason. Rather than criticize, maybe you should thank A&M for having the guts to stand up and take actions that ultimatley resulted in a better financial deal for all of the Big 12.

TCU and West Virginia is a good addition to any conference.
It would be nice to add two more quality teams with a winning record. Auburn and Clemson would be nice but I don't think they would leave their conference. Just saying and wishing.
