Texas is trying to find a loophole on who makes the decision. Here is the problem - the decision is clearly made based on Texas targets/commits. Proof? Google LHN boss Dave Brown's interview with ESPN Austin. He specifically states they will target individual players with UT links or interest like RB Jonathan Gray and he even said they might send a crew to Arizona to cover a game of Texas QB commit Connor Brewer. Does that sound independent? I didn't think so.

The entire network is being sold as 24-7-365 Texas. Everything is based on campus in Austin but ESPN makes the decisions independently? It's amazing Texas actually expects people to buy their spin.

LHN can show all the Mack Brown shows, baseball and softball they want. They should not be able to broadcast a conference game and force another school's fan base to have the channel to watch the game and they should not be allowed to show high school sports.

ESPN and Doods are working with the ncaa to make sure everything is on the up and up.

Here's the deal, Texas sold their rights to IMG and ESPN, Texas has no say in any programming. IMG and ESPN both know their biggest audience will be Texas fans. So why would they not want to show high school games featuring Texas recruits?

If OU and others complain enough, I guess the Ncaa can make a rule telling IMG and ESPN what they can show, I just don't think it would holdup in court.
