As an avid OSU fan, I’ve followed the Big 8 and Big 12 for most of my life. I am well aware of the Sooner Schooner and it is a unique traditon. I’ve never even heard of the Nebraska “tunnel walk”. Personally, I’m partial to “Bullet”, OSU’s American Quarter Horse that makes a run around the field after a score.Both OU’ and OSU’s traditions are appropriate to their school nicknames. What do they do in the tunnel in Nebraska, husk corn?

oh yes, that ‘famous tunnel walk of Nebraska’s', give me a break, I’ve followed them thru the years, Big 8, Big 12, I’ve seen games broadcast at home there and have NEVER heard any of the commentators mention the tunnel walk..face it, Nebraska fans cheated to win this and then you have others that just vote against OU because they are so jealous.

Stole might not be accurate concerning the Bugeaters, but at the very least they used the name of another. The Sooners sure didn’t use anybody else’s name.

Nebraska stole its name from Iowa. Nebraska used to be the Bugeaters (not joking here, and they should have kept that awesome name) and Iowa was the Cornhuskers. I bet you didn’t know that Mack

Nebraska couldn’t stay in the big 12 because they could never take the Big 12 Championship from the Big 12 South, mainly Oklahoma and Texas.

Dear Mack N…actually, as most would suspect…you’re wrong. Most current fans are very aware where our fight song originated. To the rest of my Sooner brethren…are you seriously upset we lost in a poll-driven internet tournament? So more Husker fans voted than did Sooner fans…big deal. Those fans sure as heck couldn’t vote them to a big 12 title last year could they? Seriously, lets not degrade ourselves here. It IS ludicrous that an actual TRADITION lost to something every team in college football does…a tunnel walk. It would have been more telling if they had used something else every team does instead…like lose to OU.
