I’d love to have seen ‘Robert’s’ face when Coach Stoops was the next comment! LOL! Coach, thanks for speaking up and…, many, many thanks for staying with us Sooners!

This, so, reminds me of the time when Ohio State and OU would end up 1 & 2 and all the speculation. They even had a computer game once!

In my humble opinion, and our coach is much more qualified to say, a playoff system of some sorts would sure make this easier to determine who was 2nd that year and deserving of that particular title!

Oh, and, losing championship and BCS games is sure better than not getting to them!

It doesn’t really matter who would have won if OU had played Auburn because there’s no national champion in Div. I college football and that’s what this whole debate is about, right? Until the NCAA recognizes a champion all games are merely exhibitions and rankings are 100% meaningless.

They’d have collapsed as soon as Auburn got a lead, just as they did against USC.

OU might have won if Auburn had made a bunch of uncharacteristic mistakes early in the game, and OU had gotten out to a big lead. Otherwise, Auburn would have taken it.

2004 is history and reflecting back does nobody any good. Remember the players that got OU there and the great season that they had. Stoops does get his players ready to play and the coaches do a great job at getting the best out of each player. Enjoy these good times because the program is in good hands with Stoops in charge. KG

Going into the game with USC, OU was less than a 2 pt.
underdog. OU started out with the first touchdown but
USC took momentum and so the blowout.

The odds makers would probably have had OU and Auburn
a toss up.

The odds makers know what they are doing which is why
it’s best not to gamble against them.

Since the BCS title game was negated by the BCS, and
we can’t go back and have that OU team play that Auburn
team, we can only go back to the standings before the
title game. Anything else would be speculation.

If the same odds makers are correct, it looks like
an Alabama-OU final in 2012.

Has anyone heard any updates on Fleming?
