We here that root for Iowa, were crushed to find out Brandon had decided to leave after the great year he had. Though we want him back, we wish him all the best in the Big twelve. You will be greatly missed #3!

Completely agree with G, Houston...just whom is the NCAA protecting...certainly not the student athlete. When they take years to finally acknowlege and act on Reggie Bush, ignore sworn testimony in Mike B.s case ...and then penalize BW for staying in school at IA rather than "chucking" the schoolwork and transferring mid-semester...utter nonsense set up to protect someone/something other than the student.

Too bad, OU could use a strong runner like him with Demarco being gone. In the 'new order' of college football (more players leaving early, therefore talent has dropped off and fewer kids getting degrees), you would think the NCAA would wise up and respond by making it easier for student-athletes who do want to stay in college to transfer. Why does the NCAAA make it so hard on kids who don't break the rules and want to stay in school? I'm all for penalizing the rule-breakers but I see no reason to punish kids who choose to stay in college.

Unless this is what the OU staff desires this seems patently absurd and very, very unfair...if he had gone to a JUCO instead of IOWA...and had played there wouldn't he have been eligible...but going to IA and not playing makes him have to sit out...nonsense~
