OU seems to be a better team when they have a cause to fight for - or against. It appears they are finally playing the - no resprect because they can't win BSC games -card. I sure hope it works - I don't want to see every Big East game highlight the UCONN win for the next 5 years - like we get to see with Boise State

You're kidding me! A preseason #1 poll before this season ends??? Sounds like a plot to get the present OU team to start reading and believing the hype about next year messing with their focus and attention to end this season. OU SHOULD demolish UConn, but should doesn't mean it will. Come on...quit messing with the already tough psychological challenge of getting our players up for a bowl game that doesn't offer much to OU if it does what is expected - win! Does winning cement them as a preseason #1 pick? Why should it - what about the winner of Auburn v. Oregon? What happened to the reigning champion sitting atop that spot until someone knocks it off? READ this OU: Lose to UConn and forget about next year! Forget #1, the name of the game is just win baby win. The rankings will take care of themselves.
