Thats about enough of bashing Jones guys. And stop talking about Drew Allen like you’ve seen him play a hundred times and you know what he’s bringing to the table. There’s a legit reason why Jones is the starting qb and Allen isn’t. I’m certain Stoops and Hypel (who are with these guys everyday!) are starting the best guy. Granted Jones made some bonehead plays but he didn’t get much help in the second half. Our O-line played like they had never seen a blitz and Mizzou pretty much had their way.
I’m a HUGE Bradford fan, but the guy credited his O-line after every game for a reason. We had an NFL caliber line that rarely allowed B-Man to play under pressure.
We’ve all seen what Landry can do when he’s well protected. He’s no Bradford of course.. But when he has that kind of consistent protection he can lead us to the promised land just as good as anyone.

Not even Mike necessarily, but we need to shake things up. There are a lot of defenses, with lesser talent, performing at a higher, more consistent level than at OU.

bimmerboy47, best comment on the page…more people need to start talking about this…we need Mike Stoops back, I personally don’t care if they give him a co-head coach title (even though I love Bob Stoops and don’t want to replace him) that is how much I think we need Mike Stoops back…but brent has to go!

The team overall has tired legs in the second half of ballgames. To include, the quarterback with a tired arm. The coaching staff does realize which players bring energy to the team. Those players will get it done in the 3rd & 4th quarters of games. Postive players: Broyles, Stills,Finch and the freshman fullback. Let Broyles, Stills, Murray carry the load in quarters 1 & 2. Let Finch, the fullback be the workhorses in the 3rd & 4th with the team back to huddling up. Sprinkle some play action to the receivers…and we would still be #1 in the BCS. On defense, we have the wrong players in the wrong positions. #56 is the key to the defense, and special teams. He would give the defense more energy than any other defensive player. Now he’s lost physically & mentally for the rest of the season…because you did not play him. What did he provide to the special teams…other teams feared him. Have the noseguard as the only down lineman, other linemen are standing, that will allow our defense to react a lot quicker to the running game and spread offense…they have a better view of the q-back and the o-line blocking scheme.

I like alot of what has been said here especially bimmerboy our defenses has not been the same since Mike Stoops left and I think Bob is too loyal and chicken to fire anybody. When is Jamarkus Mcafarland going to get his lazy butt in gear and live up to his billing. I also agree that Landry is not going to lead us to the promise land. I am looking forward to seeing Blake Bell hit the field, but you sure gotta like Drew Allens toughness and grit I think he could make things happen to. Not the end of the world after Mizzou game I think they really wanted it we will get ours. Another thing when is Travis Lewis going to back up all the smack talk he leaves on the field.
