I feel it isn’t that serious. It was just a joke. What happened .. HAPPENED! No one can turn back the hands of time and fix anything. Whatever happened to freedom of speech.

@Mike: I feel thee “NO GANSTAS” comment is really racists and unnecessary. That has nothing to do with the comment Jaz made, nor the situation.

I think Stoops did the right thing by suspending Jaz…he obviously has no respect or reguard for human life and deserves to be punished. I am however a texas fan, but if the tables were flipped and OU had some kind of tragedy and a TX player said something so heartless and cruel I would feel the exact same way. This has nothing to do with the fan system! Everyone is to be held accountable for their actions, even football players!!!

Stoops made huge statement by doing what he did and is class act guy and coach. Just hope Jazz’insensitive statement is wake up call to college athletes as whole. Players are looked up to by alot of people, children included, they should be held to higher standard with no tolerance rule when it comes to social graces and pure and simple empathy towards others. In world of technology and internet, players need to realize the importance of being gentleman and scholars as well as athletes. And for those that think they are above that, then there are plenty of guys willing to fill there shoes.

Bob most definitely made the right decision. There is no excuse for joking about something like that even if there hadn’t been a shooting at UT. The comment was rude and insensitive and he needs to understand that no matter how good a player he is or what kind of game is coming up, he will suffer consequences for his remarks. He is representing OU and we want all the players to show respect for others. Marty’s comments about Bob Stoops having to go shows he has as much class as Jaz Reynolds.
