Well said Fed Up! I don’t have much to add to what you stated. Sure its a great rivalry, but Nebraska fans are coming in here like they are entitled to it and OU is saying no thanks, we’ve done better. RIP Nebraska football…the recruits you used to get from Texas will now be headed to A&M, Tech, and OK State which will only make the conference stronger as a whole and obviously with a more cohesive and cooperative group of schools.

Folks I am an OU fan who lived in Nebraska for 10 years. I used to live the rivalry everyday. I proudly displayed my SOONER bumper stickers and static cling stickers and window flags and whatever else I could put on my truck or my body.
I loved the rivalry more than anything. I now live outside of St. Louis (YUK MIZZOU territory). On the Illinois side of the river. I am kind of exited to see Nebraska and Illinois play each other every year. I don’t see why OU and the Huskers can’t play each other every year because Illinois and MIZZOU play each other every year at the Edward Jones dome in St. Louis and they aren’t from the same conference. Turkey day sounds good to me.

OMG WILL YOU HUSKER FANS JUST DIE ALREADY?! I’M SO SICK OF YOUR CRAP. FIRST OF ALL YOU CLOWNS WEREN’T WHINING ABOUT UNEQUAL REVENUE SHARING WHEN THE CONFERENCE WAS FORMED AND YOU WERE GETTING THE MAJORITY OF THE MONEY – REMEMBER IDIOTS? YOU AGREED TO THOSE TERMS AS WELL AS EVERYONE ELSE. SO NOW IT IS SOME HOW TEXAS AND OU’S FAULT THAT YOU COULDN’T KEEP WINNING AND TV SETS GLUED TO YOUR GAMES CAUSING A DROP IN PROFITS – MAKES SENSE. UT WAS INVITED INTO THE CONFERENCE, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND SO STFU ABOUT THAT! AND OU AND UT ARE THE ONLY TWO SCHOOLS IN THE BIG 12 THAT CAN GO WHEREVER THEY WANT – BUT THEY BOTH NEED EACH OTHER, NOT ONE MORE THAN THE OTHER. THEY FORTUNATELY HAVE PEOPLE SMART ENOUGH TO REALIZE THAT IT IS BETTER TO KEEP THE TWO SCHOOLS TOGETHER RATHER THAN APART. NEITHER SCHOOL RAN FROM THE OTHER CAUSE THEY COULDN’T WIN. AND IF YOU FOOLS DON’T THINK THAT YOUR RECRUITING OF THE STATE OF TX WON’T HURT BECAUSE OF YOUR MOVE, YOU ARE IN FOR A BIG SURPRISE! SEE ARKANSAS AND HOW WELL THEY WERE ABLE TO RECRUIT THE STATE OF TX AFTER THEY WENT TO THE SEC WHICH IS A MORE DESIRABLE CONFERENCE THAN THE BIG 10 TO SOUTHERN KIDS! As a Husker fan, the last thing I want to do is play OU, expecially the day after T-Day. The game has no way of living up to the past since there will be little to no significants to the game. This rivalry is water-under-the-bridge and it’s time to let it go. NU and OU will meet again down the line in bowl games.

Until then, OU will continue to dominate the Big 12/10 and NU will move on and form new rivalries in the Big 10/12. No hard feelings or regrets.

Good riddance to the Cornhuskers. They claim to be good sports, but keep reminding everyone of their every good deed. Hey, Huskers! We know about the standing-O you gave Ricky Williams! We don’t need to hear about it again. Sheesh.

Sadly, we know, too, about what you did after the Big 12 CG. Bo Pelini is not the epitome of sportsmanship, and apparently neither is Dr. Tom.

So, if Castiglioni and OU decide not to continue the series with you, that’s their right. Let’s hope you get the message. I’ll say adios, but amigos would be stretching it.

Sorry but you give the recruit a chance to play Texas or OU every 2 years or you give a recruit the chance to play OHIO St, Michigan or Penn St every year on a national stage, in a conference as old as dirt and well established with their own tv network, with better academics is going to win everytime.

The number of players who make it thru to the NFL is maybe 10-20% of the conference players. The rest fade away in camps and move on in life, so parents want the best academics for their kids and the big10 provides that chance.

Texas would bring down the wrath of Texas and the Big12 IF OU even CONSIDERED a series with NU. OU has to get approval first from Texas before any kidna home and home series with NU..

Sorry OU fans but the fact of the matter is, your are now owned by Texas’ and losing the last 4 of 5 doesn’t help either.
