Today, while I was at work, my sister stole my iPad and tested to see if it can survive a twenty five foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation.
Wish him well, hope he gets the job and takes Patton and Norvell with him.
It's a good offense that he ran, but scoring depended on throwing the ball,
and no running game in the red-zone. When you have receivers that can
catch, and an offensive line that can pass block, it's a well oiled machine.
This year they had none, plus they couldn't run block. Oklahoma is a run
first school, dating from way back. Stoops brought in Leach to get an
immediate turn around, it worked, but the gig is up. Since OU has gone
to this West Coast offense, they haven't had a QB that could make a play
with his feet, when called for. The QB play at OU was either throw and
get a completion, interception, drop, throw it away, run out of bounds, or
take a loss. 6 options and only 1 good play in the bunch. Sam couldn't make
a play with his feet, when needed. That would have been helpful against
teams like Texas, Florida, BYU, Miami, Tex. Tech, and so on. You can go
back to Hybl in '01. Like Switzer said after WVU took the Sooners to the
wood-shed. "IF I were coach, thats the kind of offense(WVU) I would run".

If your not happy in your job and already making a nice income for you and your family, why leave for more money. It makes no sense. I've been around this country and Norman is a beautiful place to live and raise a family. His income far exceeds the average. He is clearly not happy and I hope that he can find his happiness somewhere else because you and I both know that if you don't like your job, your not going to perform it as well as you could or should.

Kevin Wilson is an adequate OC, nothing more. With great talent against opposition with less talent, he put up record scores. Against opposition with equal talent, or in close games, he tightened up and the offense went non-productive.

And our O-linemen have not been properly developed. That's on Wilson as well as Patton.

Josh Heupel would be a good OC.

It is a tremendous honor to the U of O that the rest of America is always seeking to recruit the coaches who have worked under Stoops. How many would this make who have moved on to their own head coaching gig? About a dozen? If Wilson feels the calling to step up to the next level then we should applaud his opportunity for success. I personally won't miss the "run it up the middle fifty times" plays that were called, but can't argue that he has produced a whole lot of points with the players under his style of offense. If he goes, congrats to him and thanks for all he has done. OU will survive, and if he stays he will keep producing points.

Coach Wilson was pretty limited this year in what he could do offensively with his play calling. I believe he handled a revolving door on the offensive line, missing tight end and a red shirt freshman quarterback about as well as anyone could have. Good luck to him if he is offered the job. I think we need to give Coach Heupel the chance to run the offense if the job comes open. Josh is looked as a future star in the coaching world. Lets enjoy him while we can!!
