4-star DE Grissmon down to OU, Kansas
Geneo Grissmon, a 4-star defensive end out of Hutchison, Kan., has scratched LSU off his list and is down to Oklahoma and Kansas, the Hutchison News reported Thursday.
Grissom, who committed to the Jayhawks last June before re-evaluating his options in the wake of Mark Mangino’s resignation, is taking an official visit to Lawrence this weekend.
The 6-foot-4, 235-pound Grissom, who had 72 tackles and 6 1/2 sacks last season, took an official visit to Norman on Dec. 18.
He is rated the No. 3 overall prospect in the state of Kansas and No. 14 defensive end nationally by Rivals.
The Sooners are hoping to land either Grissom or 5-star defensive end Jackson Jeffcoat, who is scheduled to visit Norman next weekend. Chuka Ndulue is currently OU’s only defensive end verbal.
