7-5 is always a possibility. BV will be the DC till BS leaves. BS has surrounded
his self with Crony’s and that is starting to be his achille’s heal. This program
deserves a coach, especially with the kind of money OU is paying, that will
maintain the expectations of the fans and supporters. Surrounding yourself
with medeocrity, as he has with all his Co’s., is very easy for most people to
see just by looking at the stats, returning starters, recruiting class’s, ranking
of offense and defense, decesion’s made during games, big game performance. As the great Bud Wilkinson once said, offense fills the stadium,
and defense wins the championships. Until that returns, there will be no more
titles, bowl wins, Texas wins. Think back to what BS said in his acceptance
speech in ’99. Look at his first 5 season’s. Look at the last 6. Look at the
Texas, Bowl, Big Game, BCS record. Not just conference titles. Remember the
Big-12 is probably, after bowl season and inter-conference play, the 3rd
or 4th rated league in the nation. Hype is good for one thing, sell papers.
