Obama reaches out to…Sam Bradford?
President Barack Obama named University of Oklahoma president David Boren co-chairman of his Intelligence Advisory Board today.
But at the tail end of his speech announcing the decision, Obama had this to say:
“I thank David for agreeing to serve in this capacity, even as he continues to lead the University of Oklahoma.”
Obama added: “And we are sorry about (Sam) Bradford’s shoulder.”
Bradford was scheduled to undergo surgery in Birmingham, Ala. today, and while Obama’s words likely won’t speed his recovery, Oklahoma’s own Sammy B can’t hate to hear that.

WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE THIRD QUARTER LAPSE WE REALLY LOOKED GOOD AGAINST A TEAM THAT REALLY SURPRISED ME. I’M STILL WORRIED ABOUT THIS YEARS RECRUITING. NOT MANY OR ANY FIVE STARS AND WE HAVE HAD 24 AGREE TO COME TO OU. THAT DOESN’T LEAVE MUCH ROOM FOR THE TOP PLAYERS WE NEED I.E. A GOOD RECEIVER, DEFENSIVE TACKLE AND A HOLE GOB OF OFFENSIVE LINEMAN. I DON’T KNOW HOW MANY WE CAN SIGN THIS YEAR, BUT CERTAINLY NOT IN THE 30′S LIKE ALABAMA DOES. HOW DO THEY GET AWAY WITH THAT? CAN ANYBODY OUT THEIR HELP ME WITH THAT ISH B CAN YOU DROP ME A LINE ABOUT OUR LATE CHANCES ON LANDING SOME OF THESE NEEDS. THE SAN ANTONIO SOONER.

Is Boren going to be yet another Czar?
