Lehman, Moore to join UFL

Former Sooner linebackers Teddy Lehman and Brandon Moore have signed with the Las Vegas franchise of the new United Football League.

Lehman, previously a Butkus Award winner, was drafted out of OU by the Detroit Lions in the 2nd round. He was the only rookie LB to start every game and looked to be headed for a bright NFL career. But injuries derailed his progress, and after stints with Tampa Bay and Buffalo, he wound up without an NFL contract.

Moore signed as an undrafted free agent with the 49ers, and played their for five years before being released prior to last season.

The UFL is scheduled to debut October 2009.

Teddy lead the NFL is special teams plays a couple years ago with Detroit. Wilkerson was actually top 10 too. Surprised Teddy doesn’t stick.
