Bradford up to 225

Bob Stoops said Tuesday during Big 12 Media Days that QB Sam Bradford is up to 225 pounds, which is the most Bradford has ever weighed.

Weighing that much should enable Bradford to withstand even more punishment, which no doubt will make him even more attractive to NFL teams. But for now, it should increase his durability for this season.

Since Bradford’s true freshman year, he’s put on more than 25 pounds of muscle.

So, all of the sudden, its good to have a more hefty QB
to be able to take some punishment, and gets a special
article. Colt, Reesing, Robinson all run. were they ask
to beef up for that, probably not, they are just tough
kids. OU had wish-bone QB’s that weighed less than 225,
and were a whole lot tougher than Sam. Remember Sam got
hurt tackling not running. The way you get tougher is to
run once in awhile in games, not just when Loadholt and
Duke throw “look-out” blocks. When you run purposely, you
administer the punisment, when you run from you are receiving the punishment, get it, Stoopsy.
