I think that any organization, including a college football team and its fans, eventually takes on the personality of the individual who leads it. Bob Stoops is that individual.

This year they sent the right message, last year, who knows
what kind of message was sent, with the petty theft charge.
As a whole, Stoops teams are well behaved. You have to remember, they are college kids, and college kids will push
the limits when the opportunity presents itself. Now the next big task to accomplish, is carrying those winning traits from the Hotel to the field, and putting a Win on
the score board. There’s been quite a bit of failure in that
area in the last 6 years. Everybody is ready for a change.

Nice words by Mr. Eventoff. Having observed the obnoxious behavior by many (not all) opposing team’s fans, it is refreshing to hear of your own players and fans beings cast in a positive light. Our children will grow up to be, in many cases, what they observe; to say what they hear. The Sooner Nation should be prOUd of being considered a good example!

Thank you for the kind words and great write up. Im very glad that you were able to witness first hand the great players and fans of the Sooner Nation, just one problem with your story, and im sure you have already heard this. Its Crimson and Cream not Maroon and white. if you will send me your address or an address where I can ship you some samples, I will gladly send you at least a Sooner fan starter kit, you know a hat, shirt, stickers, banner, car tag, flag, posters, footballs, helments, ect… I might be a little carried away there.
Thanks again for the great write up. The Sooner State takes a bad wrap as being a little back woods redneck sometimes, and sometimes its well deserved. we absolutly do have our fair share of poorly behaving fans and even an ocassional player, many fewer with coach Stoops than previous coaches. I am proud of our fans and players every day and your story reinforces that pride.
