Volleyball: 2 games on ESPNU
The OU volleyball team will have two games televised by the ESPN family of networks this upcoming season. OU’s home match against Texas on Oct. 1 and an away game against Nebraska on Oct. 8 were selected by the network to air on ESPNU. Both contests are slated to begin at 7 p.m.

OU ranked No. 4 in coaches poll
Oklahoma is ranked No. 4 in USA Today’s preseason coaches football poll.
The Sooners are one of six teams that received first-place votes. Georgia is No. 1, followed by Southern California, Ohio State. Florida is fifth and defending national champion LSU is sixth.
Oklahoma was ranked No. 8 in the final poll last year, after losing in the Fiesta Bowl to West Virginia.
Oklahoma State and Tulsa each received one vote in the preseason poll.
The poll is made up of 61 head coaches, including Tulsa’s Todd Graham. OU’s Bob Stoops and OSU’s Mike Gundy do not have votes this season.
