Final: 57-2

That’s it.
It’s a final – 57-2.
Less than 70 will keep the Mike Lupicas of the world from getting mad.

Rain, rain, go away

Sooner fans during the rain delay

Into the fourth quarter (at last)

It’s time to put in the reserves for OU. Now entering the fourth quarter (at 9:51 p.m.)

Many fans are soaked and Fox Sports’ Emily Jones is sporting a hair-friendly hat.

Chris Brown scored a TD in the third to make it 57-2 (Chattanooga got a safety on a bad OU snap, more on that Sunday on NewsOK.com)

Justin Johnson has carried the ball, so looks like he’s not going to redshirt.

The game is back on

And the Sooners are playing again.

From Newsroom friend Brian Sargent comes this report: Norman received 1.34 inches of rain between 7:40 and 8:40 p.m.

Looks like it’s clearing off.

But the blowout may not end until late, late, late.

And the delay goes on …

Just talked to Jenni Carlson up in the press box.

Pretty bad when you can hear the thunder booming through the phone.

Still waiting for the game to get restarted. The pay-per-view channel is showing old baseball footage.

Words from the office

Words from a grumpy copy editor: “This is God’s way of saying that’s enough”

Sooners 50, Mocs 0

Game still delayed.

Halftime extended by 20 min

Halftime has extended by at least 20 minutes because of stormy weather. Rain is hampering Owen Field at the moment, while

lightning knocked out the video boards and most of the bulbs lighting the field.

The stands are clear with the exception of a dozen guys with their shirts off on the front row.

Will the game be called due to rain? We'll see...

Storms delay game

A thunderstorm is approaching Owen Field.

And now we know how a game against a bad opponent can get even worse.

Halftime has just been extended 20 minutes to see what happens, and a lighting bolt just knocked out about half of the lights at Owen Field. A check of weather reports on the internet indicate that a storm with heavy rain, possible hail and winds to 50 mph is approaching Norman. Worse, the storm is moving at a whopping 5 mph.

That means it could get here and drench Owen Field.

What is already a difficult game to watch could get even worse.

Here’s a bet: the teams won’t come out of the locker rooms again. This game will be called and Oklahoma declared the winner. No one benefits by this game continuing.

Uh-oh! Chattanooga threatening

… to kick a field goal.

Partially blocked!

Sooner take a knee and it’s into the locker room!

50-0.
