Men’s hoops: Griffin talk

By Scott Wright

Interesting take from DraftExpress.com on Blake Griffin’s pro status:

“The Blake Griffin saga continues…after Jeff Capel got the extension he so coveted, it now looks likely that he’ll be able to keep Griffin at Oklahoma for at least another season. We’ve moved him to our 2009 mock draft after receiving multiple reports that he is very likely to stay in school now.”

Men’s hoops: Chasing Pattillo

By Scott Wright

Oklahoma basketball recruit Juan Pattillo, a small forward from the College of Southern Idaho, has eliminated South Florida from his list of potential schools and is now considering Kentucky more strongly, CSI coach Barret Peery said Tuesday.

Pattillo, a 6-foot-7 swingman, canceled a visit to South Florida for this weekend and will travel to Kentucky instead, along with his CSI teammate, Kevin Galloway, who has already committed to UK.

Pattillo is still expected to visit Oklahoma April 18-20.

TE Eldridge with bragging rights

By Jake Trotter

Tight end Brody Eldridge and offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson engaged in some friendly trash talking leading up to Saturday night as to who would win the Final Four hoops matchup between Kansas and North Carolina.

Eldridge, who grew up in La Cygne, Kan., has remained a Jayhawk basketball fan. Wilson, meanwhile, attended UNC.

Wilson may be ducking Eldridge in the halls of the Switzer Center today. His Tar Heels trailed by as many as 28 points in the first half before losing 84-66.

KU plays Memphis tonight for the national title.
